I was born and raised in Ovid and graduated from Ovid-Elsie High School in 2002. I played football, basketball, and tennis; I’m a proud Marauder. I majored in politics, philosophy and law at Miami University in Ohio and graduated from Detroit Mercy Law School.
I was honored to be named an Assistant Attorney General in 2011. I’ve worked with health professionals, always working to protect the public health, safety, and welfare. I also served as an Assistant Attorney General for the Michigan Public Service Commission, helping ensure affordable and reliable energy service for the people of Michigan.
I’m a community guy, active with the St. Johns Kiwanis Club 707, the SafeCenter organization, and Big Brothers Big Sisters. I was named Kiwanian of the Year in 2014 for my service. I’m a member and supporter of the Farm Bureau, the NRA, and Right to Life of Clinton County. I am extremely active in Republican politics, serving as the treasurer for the Clinton County Republican Party and helping build the local party.
I live in Dewitt with my wife Alicia, an OB/GYN resident physician in Lansing. We enjoy hiking and traveling throughout Michigan. Alicia and I attend Northpointe Community Church in Dewitt, where we volunteer for church events and lead a life group bible study.
